Billing Spring Nats Saturday the 19th of April
This years Spring Nats had to be on one of the coldest windy days of the year a shame because the week preceding had been stunning with sunshine and heat! Never to be put off I put on my long johns and thermals and went off in search of Americana.
The members of the AAC bulletin board arranged a designated area for Camaros and for a time it appeared that all Camaros were red... the next arrivals were both black. Excellent turn out and had a chance to check out the paint on Paul's camaro - top notch. Arrived early and soon spotted Steve and Paul who were marking out the camaro area. it was not long before cars began to arrive and fill the field.
Most makes were represented. There was something for every taste from a 1930 Model A to current vehicles. a fair amount of Chrome and Fins, not sure if it is my imagination but these cars seem to be getting rarer at shows with most being 60's and 70's.
If you were looking to purchase there were a number of bargains to be had and as most meets the price was negotiable. Convertible 3rd gen camaro was a bargain!
This fine looking Ford was set off by chrome headlight covers which really finished the car in my opinion
Some fantastic examples of Mustangs on show, this late model was looking very tidy and fitted in well with the older cars
This beautiful 67 RS was up for sale but i didn't dare enquire
as to the price in case i had to buy it!
Not normally a great fan of later model cars this pair of 4th gen Z28's were very stylish, particularly liked the after market lights on the yellow one. Dodgy geezer in the hat agreed!
Added to my wish list is this number plate - wonder how much it is worth?
Billing Spring Nats Sunday the 21st of April.
Lots of pictures here, hope you like them and a big thank you to those of you who made the panoramic view of the TV and film cars possible. Don't think I have ever seen 2 Starsky and Hutch cars together with 3 Knightriders and 2 police cars competing for space with the good ole General Lee. I have some other pics that I will be uploading later in the week as those of you present know that last picture kept growing in size, it almost turned into a collection of all cars left at 5 o'clock! I love that Tot-Rod, if I was only a few feet smaller!
